As part of the SEE Platform, the SEE partners will deliver 80 workshops to policy-makers and small companies across Europe on five themes:

1. Design Policy
2. Design Support
3. Service Design
4. Social Design
5. Design Management

To test the tools that will be used in the workshops, the partners and their policy-makers will attend a master workshop to examine best practice, generate new insight and make policy recommendations. Click on the icons below to see a report of the master workshops and download the SEE tools.

SEE Project 2008-2011

As part of the SEE project, there were three types of SEE events: conferences, study visits and thematic workshops.

The October 2008 conference launched the project and the second SEE Policy, Innovation and Design Conference took place in March 2011.

The first study visit to Finland, provided the opportunity for partners and their government representatives to discuss and analyse the successfully implemented Finnish policy: Design 2005!. The second study visit was to Cornwall, UK to visit the ’Design of the Time’ (Dott) project for social innovation through design.

Five thematic workshops took place during the course of the project, each focusing on a topic relating to design and innovation policy:

1. Integrating design into regional innovation policy
2. Bridging design, sustainability and innovation in regional policy
3. Evaluation tools for the implementation of design policy
4. Bringing innovative ideas to the market more quickly
5. Building next generation business support programmes

Following each workshop the SEE Policy Research Group produced a Policy Booklet with a series of recommendations on the topic, available in the publications section.
